K-13® / Sonaspray “fc” ® in indoor pools

Both K-13 and Sonaspray “fc” have been used in indoor pools throughout the US and many foreign countries to provide thermal and acoustical benefits for over 25 years.
Indoor pools require adequate ventilation to prevent condensation from forming. Failure to provide and utilize adequate ventilation will shorten the life of virtually all construction materials. There have been instances where suspended ceilings have collapsed and metal decks have corroded to the point of requiring entire roof replacement.
K-13 and Sonaspray “fc” are well suited for use in indoor pools. The exceptional acoustical performance of both K-13 and Sonaspray “fc” dramatically improve the noise and reverberation levels in indoor pools increasing comfort and function for all levels of activity, instruction and competitive swim meets. The additional thermal performance reduces operational expenses and also improves the comfort level. The high humidity will not affect these materials. Failure to provide, through design and operation, adequate ventilation to prevent condensation from forming on substrates that have been covered with K-13 or Sonaspray “fc” will shorten the useful life of these products.
